Ottawa Manotick ITF J30 World Tennis Tour Tournament

We are delighted to share with you all that Manotick Tennis Club has been selected by Tennis Canada and the ITF to host a world tour level (juniors) tournament in September. The event starts on September 2nd with a qualifier and then the main draw is September 4th - 8th. The tournament is for U18 boys and girls from around the world who are trying to earn world ranking points either to get onto the professional circuit or to win scholarships at US Collages to play tennis.

More details will be shared nearer to the event about how you can watch the tournament and see the future stars. We will also share details of our plans to provide access to other courts at this time, For now we are looking to recruit volunteers to ensure that Manotick extends the warmest welcome that we can.

Get involved: volunteer to support the tournament and young players 

To support this event, we are asking for members who would like to volunteer to email contact Phil Johnson (manotickphil@rogers.com) and Chris Fisher (cfisher@local.ca). Some of the volunteer we are looking to fill include: 

•  A club member available during the event at the clubhouse to make visitors (from around the world) feel welcome and to answer their questions about the area, such  as where to shop, eat, or visit during their stay. All questions about the tournament would be handled by Tennis Canada, who provides an Umpire for the event. 
• Volunteers to drive players, parents, and coaches to and from their hotels near the airport to the club.
