Club Manager

Reports to: Club President & Board
Date: January 2026
Purpose
Oversee all club operations, ensuring excellent member service, financial health, and a safe, welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Administration

Manage daily club operations, including opening/closing and scheduling

Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff

Oversee court bookings and ensure policy compliance
-
Maintain clubhouse, courts, and grounds; coordinate repairs and safety checks
-
Manage vendor and supplier relationships
-
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations
-
Purchase supplies within budget and track expenses
Member Services
-
Manage member registration and security access
-
Welcome and assist members; address their needs promptly

Ensure courts and equipment are clean and in good order
-
Communicate event changes or cancellations quickly
-
Support member retention and growth initiatives
Communications & Marketing
-
Contribute content towards club communications mediums such as newsletters, social media, and local advertising
-
Respond to member inquiries within 24 hours; escalate as needed
-
Contribute content for club displays and marketing events
Programs & Events

Plan and coordinate club championships, ladders, and social events

Provide equipment and refreshments for league matches
Qualifications
-
Experience managing sports programs, ideally in a member-based club
-
Tennis community experience as organizer or coach preferred
-
Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
-
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends
-
Safe Sport training and CPR/First Aid certification (provided if needed)

Nice to have: Familiarity with club management software (e.g., JegySoft)
